Davenport House, a Georgian Wedding Venue

Davenport House, England Wedding Venue

Davenport House is a unique and unforgettable venue, steeped in history, elegance, style and romance. This magnificent Georgian estate in a stunning countryside location is the perfect choice if you are looking for a country house venue. We couldn’t wait to plan our colour-palette photoshoot here, with so many choices of rooms, the floral decorations could be endless!

Entering this great house through the magnificent double doors, you might choose to say ‘I do’ in The Great Hall. Brimming with character from the imposing architectural stone, this is the very heart of the home and the perfect place in which to say your vows.

Wedding Ceremony Luxury Venue

We took the opportunity to fill the room with a cascade of roses down the aisle. The alcoves make a perfect place to create some stunning urns – we went quite freestyle and loose with our arrangements with soft pinks and some stronger pops of Miranda roses.

The Drawing Room will lure your guests in to dine, with original panelling painted in elegant ‘tea green’, wood floors and large windows overlooking the lawns.

Luxury Wedding Reception Floral Inspiration

We certainly made use of this beautiful room for our wedding of 100 guests. Very much a pretty in pink theme ran throughout the room, making use of the magnificent fireplace and intricate design of the Georgian door.

We couldn’t resist decorating the grand staircase, full of original features and character. A change of colour theme, we went for a Peaches and Cream design which works beautifully against the dark wood and royal blue runner.

The ultimate place for a photo of our bride and we even had an unexpected guest…

A special feature at Davenport is the planting of a David Austin rose shrub in their rose garden on the Davenport couples first anniversary. So it felt even more special to fill this Georgian house with our David Austin cut roses – a magical place for inspiring a David Austin wedding.
