A Nebraska Country Club Wedding

A Nebraska Country Club Wedding

We are delighted to feature the wedding of Tony and Kayla Gallagher who tied the knot on September 25th 2020.

Utterly romantic and a family celebration through and through with the brides brother being her florist and her dad building them their wedding arch.

I chose Leonora because I had recently seen it used for a wedding in one of my English wedding magazines. And I have a strong love for Garden roses…especially David Austin!

The wedding was held at the O’Neill Country Club, Nebraska USA. Very much a luxury Golf Club Retreat, the bride and groom made use of the outdoor space choosing an outdoor ceremony and a luxury white tent for their wedding reception.

The brides dress was chosen from a bridal boutique in Omaha NE.

The ceremony was held outdoors with the stunning wooden archway lovingly built and designed by Kayla's father.

I enjoy a very classic approach to design. Symmetry and tradition are very much my values when it comes to designing not just flowers, but home interiors and architecture too!

When it came to the flowers, Kayla knew she wanted all white and greenery but it was her brother and florist Andrew that chose the stunning Leonora David Austin rose as the featured flower for her special day.

From the exquisite bridal bouquet to the buttonholes, bridesmaid’s bouquets and wedding arch – Leonora was very much the hero rose and shone throughout the day. The ladies just didn’t want to let go of their bouquets.

My brother is a floral designer, and so I gave him full reign over my wedding flowers. He has exquisite taste in florals, and so I was happy to put all my trust in him. I knew that my bouquet would be white roses with simple greenery, but I could not believe how beautiful it was when I saw it on our wedding morning. The Leonora roses were so incredibly gorgeous and timeless – I couldn’t have asked for anything more beautiful.

My favorite thing working with this rose was how it changed over the course of the week of the wedding!

Thank you for sharing your special day with us and for choosing David Austin as your first choice of flower for your wedding day. We wish you lot’s of happiness for the future.
