Gift vouchers for our Garden Design Days can be purchased all year round. The dates for our Autumn and Winter sessions will be published in August, here on our website.
The ideal gift for the keen gardener or anyone hesitant about embarking on a design project. Our garden design days can provide all the encouragement and help needed to get started.
The day will begin with a guided garden tour (weather permitting), where Diana Perry will demonstrate the effect of different rose varieties, plant combinations and planting styles in the David Austin Rose Gardens.
Diana will then give a talk on the essentials of garden design.

Subjects covered will include basic planting concepts and themes, how to blend colours in the garden, the use of combination planting, selecting plants for fragrance, the use of height and how to use specimen plants. Diana will also give practical hints on planting to get your garden off to a flying start and tips on low maintenance gardening.
The afternoon session will be devoted to a workshop and will focus on practical work on individual gardening projects. Please bring photos, measurements and details such as soil type and aspect if you would like to discuss a particular border or area for your own garden. For larger projects such as a complete garden plan, we can also direct you to our dedicated landscape department.
At the end of the day, delegates may wish to share their ideas and discuss their plans with the group over a cup of coffee or tea.
Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
All group members will receive a voucher allowing them 10% off any purchases or orders placed during the day.
