David Austin Roses, a renowned English breeder of premium garden roses, today announced the Edith luxury cut garden rose as a popular floral trend for fall and early winter weddings. Edith has been trending during recent weeks, as evidenced by floral designers and wedding event planners nationwide specifying the rose for autumn- and holiday-inspired wedding plans.
David Austin Roses, a renowned English breeder of premium garden roses, today announced a strategic alliance with Your Event Solution (YES!), an Atlanta-based, award-winning event décor company. David Austin Roses provided more than 1,100 roses for the wedding, while Andy Hopper, AIFD, CFD, director of social events and head designer for YES!, coordinated the floral design and décor layout for the couple’s traditional-style wedding at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, located in Birmingham, Ala.
The wedding’s design scheme incorporated a color palette of Tiffany blue and white, evoking a stunning, classic atmosphere. With the bride’s desire to make the color palette and large floral blossoms the wedding’s mainstay, David Austin Roses’ Patience garden rose was used throughout the ceremony and reception’s décor.
“The bride trusted me with the entire scope of her wedding design,” says Hopper. “She wanted the wedding to be an elegant party with ‘wow’ factors at every turn for her guests.”
With the help of David Austin Roses’ Patience rose, Hopper achieved the bride’s desired look with his artistic floral design creations. The roses were the focal point in several arrangements, including the bride’s and bridesmaids’ bouquets, an entryway wreath, table centerpieces, alter décor, and floral bouquets atop tall silver stands that lined the wedding aisle.
Hopper complemented Patience with other flowers such as white peony, white hydrangea, Queen Anne’s Lace, scabiosa pod, lily grass, and elaeagnus. The combination of the florals resulted in an exuberant design, which is a signature trait of Hopper’s.
“Andy Hopper knows and works with David Austin Roses on a consistent basis; his designs are brilliant, and we are happy to have him as an advocate and designer for our roses,” says David Austin, managing director at David Austin Roses.

Hothouse Design Studio’s Majerik is known for bringing creativity to every wedding design, capturing the moment through setting the scene and making a wedding truly a reflection of the bride and groom, and her floral designs for this wedding were no exception.
J&D Farms’ wedding venue features an array of ideal countryside ceremony options for brides looking for indoor or outdoor weddings. For this particular wedding, the bride and groom chose a beautiful apple orchard for the wedding ceremony. In addition, the property’s barn, adorned with roses, hosted portions of the reception. Weathered floors, rough sawn pine, primitive farm décor, and soft dramatic lighting created an atmosphere layered in rustic elegance and charm.
